Our Farm

We are 5th generation Iowa farmers. We grow corn, soybeans and oats. Some of the land we farm has been in our family for over 130 years. I grew up on a farm, but I never thought farming would be such a big part of my adult life. It wasn’t until my early 20’s when I realized how blessed we are to call ourselves farmers and to share a little bit about that part of our lives with others.

We care deeply about the environment. We feel we have an ethical obligation to care for the soil, water and air around our farms. We want to leave the land that we farm in the best condition we can for our children. We recently returned about 30 acres of our farmland to native Iowa prairie. The land has a bit of a slope to it and feeds into a nearby creek. The kids love visiting that farm to see all the wildlife that has made it their home.
